If you looked at the picture, you may have come to the conclusion that, in fact, this sandwich is not a Po Boy. I will tell you first and foremost that this is not a Po Boy, I just like the name. This is a traditional style sandwich, dubbed “The Longhorn” from a Minnesota restaurant called Crumb.
The menu description is as follows, “Thinly-sliced BBQ marinated sirloin topped with cheddar and tangy BBQ sauce on toasted country Italian.” on top of that I put some fried onions/peppers, lettuce and tomatoes. Pretty simple, but pretty damn delicious. There was enough juice dripping from the bread, I was able to make this sandwich into almost a french dip situation. The mac and cheese was the typical nacho-cheese macro produced stuff, that is somehow delicious (They probably just dump MSG into it).
Well, another instance of eating out will lead us on a great adventure with this weeks pairing. Strawberry Cough is this weeks pairing, with strawberry and sweet flavors. Although Strawberry Cough may not compliment our rich meal perfectly, it will help balance the flavors of the meal.
“This is my favorite strain and nothing else even compares. I have anxiety very often and this strain is one of the only strains that helps me with it. Strawberry cough (strawberry fields x haze) is the best tasting strain I have ever had ,and I am not joking or exaggerating when I say that. From the first inhalation I can taste the strawberry flavor that reminds me of the strawberry patches that grew at my childhood home. After the first hit the powerful high of haze kicks in and takes away any stress or anxiety I might be experiencing. The high is energetic and gets you moving not making you couch locked on the loveseat for hours. This strain has a lot of sativa genetics contained within so it is difficult for most indoor growers to grow properly. Due to this reason it is often difficult to find due to the legality of cannabis. Which is distasteful, because this strain is a gift that alleviates people’s anxieties and fears and puts them to the wayside so that they can move on with their life and accomplish great things.”
“Without a doubt…my favorite sativa. The fine folks at Rocky Mountain Remedies were extolling the virtues of this fine strain and I was not disappointed. I enjoyed my first taste while sitting around a campfire in the White River National Forest. It could have been the gazillion stars or just the sounds of the campfire crackling but everything in the world was perfect. Strawberry Cough only made it that much more enjoyable. The taste of this strain is incredible…no harsh draw and I was rewarded with a sweet berry aftertaste. The effects were exactly what I was looking for during that particular evening. It kept me movitated enough to attend to various chores around the camp…without wandering off and getting lost or burning down several thousand acres because I was too stoned to manage a simple campfire. I was grinning from ear to ear as I continued to look up at the stars or enjoy the warmth of the fire as this stellar high kicked in…keeping me blissfully high for the next 2 hours. This strain will definitely have a place on my top shelf.”
There you have it ladies and gentleman, you’d think there was a big-pharma government conspiracy reading reviews like this. I won’t even get started on that; though perhaps a deep thought will be published concerning the topic. Until next week, stay hydrated, its a hot summer.
